Shin Tae-yong's Response To The Tickets For The Indonesian National Team That Were Sold Out

Shin Tae-yong was happy that the Indonesian national team's ticket was sold out (VOI/Ferry Tri Adi Sasono).

JAKARTA - Tickets for the Indonesian national team against Japan at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) on November 15, 2024, have been sold out.

PSSI General Chairperson (Ketum), Erick Thohir, was so enthusiastic about responding to the sale of tickets for the 2026 World Cup Qualification Third Round of parties.

Through uploads on social media, Erick Thohir expressed his gratitude for the enthusiasm of the supporters to support the Indonesian national team directly at SUGBK.

"Alhamdulillah, sold out. Thank you very much for the extraordinary enthusiasm for the Indonesian national team. Let's unite and support the Indonesian national team! See you at GBK!" Erick Thohir wrote as quoted on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Apparently not only the chairman of PSSI who was happy with the enthusiasm of supporters. Shin Tae-yong as the coach of the Indonesian national team also showed a similar expression.

Shin Tae-yong was seen commenting on Erick Thohir's upload and asking for full support as his team struggles later.

"Please support Garuda Indonesia," wrote Shin Tae-yong in the comments column.

Throughout the journey in the 2026 World Cup Qualification, the Garuda Squad has undergone four out of a total of 10 matches. Of the four matches, three points have been won from three draws and one loss.

The three points picked make the Red-White Team perched in fifth place. This position is not safe if you want to qualify directly for the 2026 World Cup or advance to the next qualifying phase.

Only the top two teams got tickets to qualify directly for the 2026 World Cup finals. Then the third and fourth ranked teams were entitled to advance to the Fourth Round of Qualification.

In order to exceed that target, the Indonesian national team must be able to gain points when hosting Japan and Saudi Arabia in Group C of the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification.

The Indonesian national team will first host Japan on November 15 and then host Saudi Arabia on November 19, 2024.
