Federation Oman Replys To Threaten Indonesian Citizens About Attack On Referee Ahmed Al Kaf On Social Media

The Oman Football Federation (OFA) defended referee Ahmed Al Kaf who led Bahrain vs Indonesia (doc. AFC).

JAKARTA - The Oman Football Federation (OFA) has criticized Indonesians who attacked their referee, Ahmed Al Kaf, on social media.

OFA officially uploaded their statement on Instagram @omanfa on Monday, October 14, 2024. In that official statement, OFA said that the Indonesian national team supporters' attacks on social media were out of context.

"The Association of Football Oman strongly condemns the baseless attacks and the use of threatening and intimidating language against international referees Oman, Ahmed Al-Kaf, and his assistants after the match between Bahrain's national team and his Indonesian counterpart in the Asian Zone World Cup Qualifiers."

Furthermore, OFA also defended referee Ahmed Al Kaf for being eligible to become an elite Asian referee.
