Eliano Reijnders Enthusiastically Waiting For Debut With The Indonesian National Team

Eliano Reijnders has trained with the Indonesian national team (doc. PSSI).

Eliano Reijnders has joined the Indonesian national team in preparation for the match against Bahrain.

The duel is the third match of Group C of the Third Round of the 2026 Asian Zone Qualification World Cup which was held at the Bahrain National Stadium, Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 23.00 WIB.

Eliano was very enthusiastic about his debut when the Indonesian national team faced Bahrain. Currently, the player from the PEC Zwolle club seems to be focused on following the direction of head coach Shin Tae-yong.

"Everything is good. This is my first time joining the team and it was a good training session," said the younger brother of AC Milan player, Tijjani Reijnders.

Apparently, it was not only him who couldn't wait to be dusty with the Garuda Squad. Eliano revealed that his brother was ready to watch the match and gave full support from a distance.

"I think my brother will watch the match. Yes, everything is a good impression for us," he said.

Meanwhile, Eliano wants his debut to end in sweet. The 23-year-old hopes that he can help the Garuda Squad bring home three points from Bahrain.

"I hope that on Thursday (10 October 2024) against Bahrain will be our first full point. That will be very impressive," said the attacking midfielder.

Eliano has been undergoing training for physical recovery since arriving in Bahrain on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He became a player who followed directly to Bahrain with Mees Hilgers from the Netherlands.

As is known, Eliano and Mees Hilgers are new players for the Indonesian national team. They just finished naturalization at the end of September 2024. The match against Bahrain could be the debut for both of them with the Garuda Squad.
