The Indonesian National Team Squad Is Almost Complete, Three New Abroad Players Join In Bahrain

Ragnar Oratmangoen has joined the Indonesian national team in Bahrain (VOI/Ferry Tri Adi Sasono).

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team got additional strength ahead of the match against Bahrain in the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification. Three abroad players (carried abroad) namely, Ragnar Oratmangoen, Shayne Pattynama, and Jordi Amat have joined the squad in Bahrain.

Previously, it was known that the Indonesian national team would face Bahrain in Group C on Thursday, October 10, 2024. For that match, Shin Tae-yong called 27 players.

Of all the names, not all of them go to Bahrain simultaneously. Only Indonesian national team players who have a career in Liga 1 will depart with coaches and officials from Jakarta on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

Meanwhile, several players who had careers in Europe, such as Ivar Jenner, Sandy Walsh, Marselino Ferdinand, Jay Idzes, and Thom Haye, have joined the team in Bahrain since Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Most recently, the Garuda Squad also received three more players, namely Ragnar Oratmangoen, Shayne Pattynama, and Jordi Amat who had just arrived on Monday, October 7, 2024.

This assurance was obtained after the Indonesian national team's Instagram account uploaded the presence of the three.

"Hello everyone," said Jordi Amat in a video upload on the Indonesian national team's Instagram Story.

"Hello Garuda, we are ready to fight," said Shayne Pattynama added.

"Come on," said Ragnar Oratmangoen.

In addition to the three names, the new goalkeeper for the Indonesian national team, Maarten Paes, was also reportedly on his way from the United States to Bahrain.

Meanwhile, two players who have just become Indonesian citizens, namely Mees Hilgers and Eliano Reijnders, are said to have arrived in Dubai and are continuing their flight to Bahrain to follow the team.
