JAKARTA - The Indonesian junior badminton contingent won the 2024 Suhandinata Cup, Saturday, October 5 in Nanchang, China. This is the second Indonesian title in the BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships competition, since Indonesia won in 2019.
This year's title was won after defeating the host who has won 14 times since the first event in 1992 in Jakarta. The players also expressed their happiness on the field after being confirmed as champions with a score of 110-103.
"The appearance of Indonesian badminton junior athletes has been extraordinary, thanks to great preparation and extraordinary performance as champions of the 2024 Suhandinata Cup. Congratulations to the proud Indonesian Sports Patriots," said the Head of the Central Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Lt. Gen. Retired Marciano Norman.

The first match, the Indonesian women's singles Mutiara Ayu Puspitasari lost to Xu Wenjing 7-11.
The second match, Indonesian women's doubles Isyana Syahira Meida/Rinjani Kwinara Nastine won over Chen Fanshutian/Liu Jiayue.
