JAKARTA Indonesian rock climbing athletes, Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi and Rajiah Sallsabillah, qualified for the quarter-finals of the women's speed number Paris 2024 Olympics.

Desak passed with a record time of 6,385 seconds. He extended his steps after defeating the representative of the United States, totaling Kelly, on Monday, August 5, 2024, WIB night.

Meanwhile, Sallsabillah followed his colleague with a time of 6.58 seconds. He actually lost against Spanish representative Leslie Adriana Romero Perez.

However, Sallsabillah has the right to qualify for the quarter-finals because his time record is still the best compared to the ranks of athletes who lost in the elimination round.

Of the eight athletes who qualified for the quarter-finals, Aleksandra Miroslaw had the best time. The Polish athlete made 6.06 seconds.

Following in second place is the representative of the United States, Emma Hunt, with a time of 6.36 seconds. Then, Desak followed in third.

In a row after that were Miroslaw's compatriot, Aleksandra Kalucka (6,389 seconds), Zhou Yafei from China (6,389 seconds), Deng Lijuan from China (6.40 seconds), Leslie (6.89 seconds), and followed by Sallsabillah.

In the quarter-finals later, Desak will meet against Deng Lijuan. Meanwhile, Sallsabillah met Emma Hunt. Both will fight on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
