Distribution Of The 2024 AFF U-19 Cup, Indonesia U-19 Wins Two Individual Trophys

JAKARTA - The 2024 AFF U-19 Cup will officially be completed on Monday, July 29, 2024. Indonesia U-19 came out as the champion after overthrowing Thailand U-19 1-0 at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya.

A total of 88 goals were created since the tournament started on July 17 to 29, 2024, from 22 matches or an average of four goals per match.

Since taking place in 2002, only in this edition the preliminary round has been divided into three groups, each group is inhabited by four teams, out of a total of 12 participants.

Each group winner has the right to advance to the semifinals, while one remaining ticket is contested through the best runners-up path.

Thailand U-19 and Australia U-19 are the most successful teams in the AFF U-19 Cup with five titles.

After becoming the 2024 edition champion, Indonesia U-19 is now side by side with Malaysia U-19 and Myanmar U-19, both of which collect two trophies.

In addition to winning the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup, Garuda Muda troops also won two individual titles, namely the Best Player and Best Goalkeeper.

The Indonesian U-19 captain, Dony Tri Pamungkas, was named the Best Player, while Ikram Algiffari won the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup Best Goalkeeper title.

Meanwhile, another individual title, namely the Top Score, was won by Australia U-19 through Jake Najdovski.

The Garuda Muda striker, Jens Raven, became the team's top scorer with four goals. However, the score only places the player in second place in the list of the top goalscorers.

Jens' goal collection is the same as that of Malaysian player G. Pavithran.
