JAKARTA - Lamine Yamal, a talented young player from Spain, was named Vivo Player of the Match after a fierce match at the Allianz Arena, Munich, Tuesday 9 July. La Roja managed to beat France with a score of 2-1. This decision was taken by a panel of UEFA Technical Observers who appreciated Yamal's great contribution in the match.

Panel Pengamat Teknis UEFA menyatakan, "Gol penyama yang fantastic dari Yamal sangat kruktial dalam mengembalikan Spanyol ke dalam permainan. Di usia usia yang begitu muda, dia bekerja keras dalam bertahan dan menjadi ancaman saat memegang bola. Dia menyampak dengan posisinya dan membentuk kemitraan produktif dengan Jeswas Navas di sisi kanan."

Lamine Yamal himself was happy with the award but focused on the main goal. "I'm glad we were in the final, but we still haven't done the most important thing, winning this. There are difficult moments for us out there. Nobody expected us to concede that fast," he said.

Spain coach De la Fuente also praised Yamal. "He looks like a much more experienced player. I'm glad he's in our team and hope we can enjoy his game over the years to come," said the coach.

In further interviews, Yamal shared his feelings about the goals he scored. "I was eyeing right into the top corner where my shot came in and it was a great feeling. I tried not to think too much about what happened. I just wanted to enjoy myself and help the team. I came here to win all the games so I could celebrate my [17 years] birthday in Germany with all my teammates!" he said.

Yamal also felt very happy with his team's achievements. "Achieving the final is something very special. I need to help my team and that's what I'm trying to do today. I am very happy after the final whistle. This is a dream come true," said the player who strengthened Spain U-17 at the 2023 World Cup in Indonesia.

Looking at the final match, Yamal stated, "When you reach the final, you have to play against the best. We will wait and see who will be our opponent."
