Indonesia U-16 Makes The Best Preparations For Group Champions In The 2024 AFF U-16 Cup

Indonesia U-16 will play the group's last match against Laos U-16 (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The U-16 Indonesian national team coach, Nova Arianto, will oversee his team in the final match of Group A of the 2024 AFF U-16 Cup.

Ahead of the match against Laos U-16, he will conduct a maximum evaluation for the best performance and maintain hope of qualifying for the knockout stages.

The U-16 Indonesian national team will face Laos U-16 at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, WIB night. Previously, the Garuda Muda squad brought positive capital after winning from the Philippines U-16 3-0.

When facing the U-16 Philippines on Monday, June 24, 2024, Evandra Follrasta contributed three U-16 Indonesian goals and added Mierza Firjatullah's braces.

Despite bringing slick capital, Nova Arianto was reluctant to have a big head. According to him, careful and thorough preparations must still be made before appearing against Laos U-16.

Evaluation is the first point for the coach. In addition, he will also watch Laos U-16's game to map the strength and lack of opponents.

"What is certain is that we will always evaluate it, yes. We evaluated how today's match was, the players performed optimally or not," Nova Arianto said in his statement quoted on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

"Including we are also monitoring or seeing videos from the Laos U-16 team," he said again.

This was done by Nova Arianto as a careful step in preparing the team. He did not want to be careless because the opportunity to win a ticket to the knockout phase was in sight.

Nova will also formulate the best possible strategy, by not forgetting to take into account the conditions of each player. All for the sake of the performance of the team that supports each other on the field.

"Regarding any strategy, we will see later. We will see the condition of the players because the formation will also follow who the players can perform," he said.

"So, it (the strategy) will adjust the situation of the conditions in the players themselves," said Nova.

So far, Indonesia U-16 is at the top of the Group standings with six points. The acquisition of points is the same as Laos U-16.

In the 2024 AFF U-16 Cup or ASEAN Championship U-16, the team that is at the top of the standings of each group will automatically qualify for the semifinals.

Another knockout ticket will be contested through the best second-placed path.
