Erick Thohir Appreciates The Sleman Police Handling Cases To Protect Football

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Erick Thohir appreciated the Sleman City Police, Yogyakarta Special Region. Where, the unit has handled important cases to protect Indonesian football.

"If our football wants to fly high, especially since this is a unifying sport of the nation, of course this (in order for the Sleman Police to handle cases in football) we should appreciate it," said Erick through an upload on his personal Instagram: @erickthohir quoting Antara.

Erick gave a sign of appreciation to the Head of the Sleman Police, Kombes Yuswanto Ardi, for handling important cases to protect Indonesian football from fraudulent practices.

He gave an example of handling cases of forgery of letters or fraud committed by Elwizan Aminuddin, a former fake doctor of PSS Sleman and the Indonesian national team.

The criminal case, he said, caused losses to the parties.

In addition, the handling of match-fixing cases is also to get the desired match fixing in Sleman.

He expressed his gratitude to the Sleman Police for handling the case. It also shows collaboration and PSSI and the police in building football in the country.

Meanwhile, Kombes Yuswanto Ardi said he was very proud of the appreciation given by PSSI.

"Furthermore, we are in accordance with orders from the National Police Chief, ready to support the progress of football in the country," he concluded.
