Triangle Armbar, Deadly Lock Stopping Jeka Saragih At UFC Vegas 93

JAKARTA - Indonesian MMA athlete, Jeka Saragih, lost to Westin Wilson in the first round of the UFC Vegas 93 featherweight fight at UFC Apex, Las Vegas, local Saturday or Sunday morning WIB.

Jeka lost through Wilson's submission during just one minute 48 seconds. For Wilson, the victory was his first win through submissions throughout his career at the UFC.

Wilson's technique is a triangle armbar or arm lock combined with neck strangulation. In UFC history, it was the 12th victory of a fighter by applying armbar triangle techniques.

As for Jeka, the defeat was his first defeat and tarnished a record of 14 wins and three draws in his time in mixed martial arts. For Wilson, that victory made him now have a record of 17 wins, nine draws, and has never lost.

Jeka's fight against Wilson is the second match in the UFC Vegas preliminary card 93. At UFC Vegas 93, the main match will bring together Alex Perez against Tatsuro Taira in the flying class.

At the beginning of the match, Jeka tried to press and corner Wilson. Wilson then responded by trying to lock Jeka's neck.

During the fight, Wilson was able to lock Jeka's arms and neck by combining an armbar lock with a triangle choke, to then force Jeka to tap out because his elbow could be locked by the opponent which made the referee stop the match.
