AFC Admits Witan Sulaeman's Goal In The U-23 Indonesia Vs Jordan U-23 Match Class

Witan Sulaeman scored a goal for the U-23 Indonesian national team (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian national team managed to advance to the quarter-finals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup after winning 4-1 over Jordan U-23 in the group's last match. Witan Sulaeman, one of the goalscorers, received a lot of praise, including the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Victory at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Sunday, April 21, 2024, made Indonesia U-23 end Group A as runner-up. The four goals of Garuda Muda were contributed by Marselino Ferdinand (2 goals), Komang Teguh, and Witan Sulaeman.

One of Indonesia U-23's goals scored by Witan Sulaeman reaped a lot of appreciation. His measurable placing strike without control became a beautiful goal in that match.

Starting from a short pass, Witan received Rizky Ridho's through ball in the penalty box. Without controlling it, the 22-year-old immediately shot at the far post and made it difficult for Jordan goalkeeper Ahmad Al Juaidi to reach the ball.

Witan was not named Man of the Match. However, his contribution is very important to Indonesia U-23.

In addition to scoring Garuda Muda's second goal, he also contributed a beautiful assist for Marselino Ferdinand's goal.

Apart from that, Shin Tae-yong expressed his joy to be able to bring the team through to the U-23 Asian Cup quarter-finals. He expressed his gratitude and presented this result to the fans.

The U-23 Indonesian national team will meet Group B winners in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup quarter-finals. South Korea and Japan will face off to fight for Group B winners on April 22, 2024.
