Released By Manchester United, Barcelona's Struggle For Anthony Martial, Juventus And Tottenham

JAKARTA - Manchester United will release striker Anthony Martial at the end of this season. With a free transfer status, Martial is contested by elite clubs. At the very least, Barcelona are competing with Juventus and Totenham Hotspur to attract him.

Martial was no longer able to show sharpness and was eliminated from the MU squad. Manager Erik ten Hag also relied more on the young Rasmus Hojlund striker rather than Martial.

Moreover, this French striker is more often injured this season. This 28-year-old player's fitness problem has made MU no longer maintain it.

This season, Martial has only played 19 times in various competitions. He, in total, played for 629 minutes.

Martial's performance is already different from when he was recruited from Monaco in 2015. During the first five seasons, he became one of the pillars of the Red Devils by winning the Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

Barca showed interest in bringing him to Spain. The reason is, the club gets a striker who is believed to be back in the open next season.

The financial condition has not improved so Barca is still looking for free players.

Previously, Barca received strikers Robert Lewandowski and Ilkay Gundogan without a penny because their contracts had expired at the old club.

The problem is, not only Barca but also Juventus and Inter Milan are interested in bringing the player. Meanwhile, from the English Premier League, Tottenham intended to recruit Martial.
