New Contract In Man City, Rodri Is In The Top 10 Highest Paid Players In The Premier League

JAKARTA - Manchester City immediately renewed the contract of midfielder Rodri. His salary was raised several times which made him one of the 10 highest-paid players in the English Premier League.

Rodri is actually the backbone of Man City. His position has not been replaced since he was recruited from Atletico Madrid in 2019.

Man City also had to spend up to 62.5 million pounds or approximately 1.2 trillion rupiah when bringing in a complete midfielder, Rodrigo Hernandez Cascante.

However, Rodri was paid a low fee even though he had given various trophies for The Cityzens.

When his contract was renewed in 2022, the defending midfielder of the Spanish national team 'only' received a salary of 180,000 pounds or approximately 3.6 billion rupiahs each week.

Man City finally plans to improve Rodri's salary in a new contract. Although the 27-year-old's contract is still three years away, the club will extend it soon. Moreover, he is one of the key figures for Man City's success.

In the latest contract that will be signed soon, Rodri receives a salary of 300 thousand pounds or 6.2 billion rupiah every week.

If the deal is approved, Rodri will be one of 10 players with the highest salary in the Premier League.

Currently, Man City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is the player with the highest salary in leagues and clubs.

He receives 400 thousand pounds each week. Followed by his colleague, striker Erling Haaland who receives 375 thousand pounds each week.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is in third place with a salary of 350 thousand pounds each week.

Chelsea's less shining player, Enzo Fernandez, can still receive a salary of 315 thousand every week.

Meanwhile, players who receive 300 thousand pounds are Marcus Rashford, Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker. They are in the top 10 highest-paid players.
