Thom Haye And Ragnar Oratmangoen Can Appear Against Vietnam, Indonesian National Team Manager: There Is An Opportunity To Play

JAKARTA - Thom Haye and Ragnar Oratmangoen have a great chance of appearing for the Indonesian national team against Vietnam at the My Dinh Stadium on March 26, 2024. The Indonesian national team is already in Hanoi to undergo the second round of Group F of the 2026 Asian Zone Qualification World Cup.

In that important match, the Indonesian national team manager, Sumardji, explained that Thom and Ragnar could already be played to defend the Garuda Squad. However, regarding the two players who will start, it is still the coach's decision, Shin Tae-yong.

"God willing (Thom Haye and Ragnar Oratmangoen) can be played for tomorrow's match (against Vietnam). However, whether it is revealed or not, it is Shin's coach decision," Sumardji said as quoted on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Previously, it was known that Thom Dan Ragnar had completed the naturalization process in early March 2024. However, in the match of the Indonesia vs Vietnam national team at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, March 21, 2024, both of them failed to appear because the federation transfer process had not yet been completed.

Now these requirements are completely complete. Based on this situation, Sumardji said there was a great opportunity for both of them to participate.

"For terms of requirements, both of them can be played," said Sumardji.

Thom Haye and Ragnar Oratmangoen's chances of appearing into fresh air for the rotation of the Garuda Squad ahead of their fight against Vietnam.

The reason is, currently many players are not fit due to fever after fighting Vietnam in Jakarta.

Ivar Jenner, who appeared at the first meeting against Vietnam, was reportedly not fit and was likely absent when he visited Hanoi.
