JAKARTA - The Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenpora RI) has ensured that the "Fun Volleyball" match does not use the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).

The Indonesian national team will challenge South Korean volleyball club Daejeon CheongKwanJang Redmen in a match funded by the Management of Funds and Sports Business (LPDUK).

"The preparations are ripe. This implementation does not use the APBN budget allocation," said the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI) Dito Ariotedjo quoting Antara.

The "Fun Volleyball" match which will take place at the Indonesia Arena, Jakarta on April 20 is the opening match of the 2024 Proliga.

Regarding funding, Menpora Dito emphasized that the match would use the budget of the Sports Fund Management Agency (LPDUK) under the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

"This is a manageable fund in LPDUK. Many have asked why the Ministry of Youth and Sports held only single events for volleyball events. This is very different because this is the concept of BLU, venture capital and sportsmanship that we initiated at LPDUK," said Menpora Dito.

Dito also explained that this friendly match was a program initiated by the collaboration between Indonesia and South Korea. The cooperation between the two parties cannot be separated from the role of Indonesian national team player, Megawati Hangestri, who appears impressive and becomes a new phenomenon with Red knowledge in the South Korean volleyball industry.

"This is a follow-up to my meeting with the South Korean government in the field of sports. The volleyball is very good, coupled with Megawati's actions with her club Red Spark which are increasingly becoming public talks," explained Menpora Dito.

In addition to presenting the match between Yolla Yuliana and her friends against the club which is currently reinforced by Megawati, in the "Fun Volleyball", matches between celebrities and appearances from the JKT48 group will also be presented.
