Atletico Madrid Vs Barcelona Results: Blaugrana Win 3-0

JAKARTA - The Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona duel was presented in the 29th week of La Liga 2023/2024 at the Metropolitan Stadium, Monday, March 18, 2024, early morning WIB.

Barcelona managed to silence the host Atletico with a convincing score of three goals without reply.

The Blagurana's three winning goals were contributed by Joao Felix (38'), Robert Lewandowski (47'), and Fermin Lopez (65').

Xavi Hernandez's team are in control of the ball with a total of 60 percent. However, the shots they created were no more than Los Rojiblancos.

Barca only packed nine shots. However, that opportunity is quite effective considering five of them were on target.

Meanwhile, Atletico made 12 shots, but only three headed for the goal.

This high-tension match was flooded with cards. Shortly after the opening goal, Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez was immediately rewarded with a red card for excessive protests.

Entering the second half, Barca immediately pressed. As a result, the visitors' second goal was born when the game had only been running for two minutes.

Ropert Lewandowski this time entered the scoreboard. The goal started with Raphinha's action which cut De Paul's pass.

He forwarded to Lewandowski who successfully carried out a quick counter-attack and broke into Jan Oblak's goal.

Left behind by two goals, Atletico did not remain silent. They almost narrowed the gap in the 53rd minute. However, Llorente's volley was blocked by Ter Stegen.

Three yellow cards came out of the referee's pocket for the hosts. In fact, Atletico got worse when Nahuel Molina received a red card after violating Vitor Roque near the penalty box in injury time.

No more goals were created until the game was over. Barcelona took home three points from Atletico Madrid headquarters.

The victory brought the Blaugrana up to second place in the 2023/2024 La Liga standings, displacing Girona. They are currently packing 64 points and are still eight points adrift of Real Madrid at the top of the standings.

Meanwhile, Atletico are still stuck in fifth place in the standings with 55 points.
