Schedule Of The Indonesian U-20 National Team For Two Trials Against China

JAKARTA The Indonesian U-20 national team (Timnas) will undergo two test matches against China, respectively on March 22 and 25 at the Madya Stadium, Senaya, Jakarta.

Currently, Indra Sjafri's squad is attending a training camp in Jakarta in preparation for the trial. The coach's total calls as many as 37 players.

Of these, the majority have joined, some follow, and some are allowed to stay at the club in order to get more flying hours through the competition.

"This is our third phase of training camp (TC). We called 37 players, we called in new players, including players who played abroad," said Indra Sjafri.

The Indonesian U-20 national team underwent a trial against China to prepare for the AFF U-20 Cup which will take place in Indonesia in the nearest July.

In addition, this team will also be finalized for the 2025 AFC U-19 Cup Qualification. The tournament is the door for the Garuda squad to break into the U-20 World Cup next year in Chile.

Indra said that he did not yet have an image of the strengths possessed by China. For that, he only focused on preparing the team so that they could get the best results in the trial later.

"I've never seen [China's strength]. That's why we are testing it, with several teams later in Asia, both in Southeast Asia. So we know the parameters of our opponents in Asia and the parameters of our opponents in Southeast Asia," he said.
