Chairman of the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU), Wahyu Dinata, together with a number of commissioners of the DKI KPU, visited the residence of the elected candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, in South Cipete, South Jakarta, on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

Wahyu explained his visit to directly convey the invitation to determine the elected candidate pair (paslon) for the 2024 Pilkada. However, he admitted that the exact date for determining the elected candidate pair was still uncertain.

"We are sending invitations to determine the elected candidate which is planned to be held in the next 2 or 3 days," said Wahyu.

Wahyu emphasized the importance of conveying information directly to Pramono as a elected governor candidate. According to him, transparency regarding the time for determining the elected candidate pairs is part of the responsibility of the KPU.

"We explain that until now we have not been able to confirm the date of determination of the elected candidate. We also do the same for other candidates who are willing to receive this information," Wahyu added.

The commissioner of the DKI Jakarta KPU, Doddy Wijaya, added that the Indonesian KPU has not yet set an official schedule for the determination of the elected candidate pairs. However, he ensured that the determination would be made no later than Thursday, January 9, 2025.

"The determination is likely to be carried out simultaneously, according to the direction of the Indonesian KPU. So, God willing, on Thursday we will hold a determination of the elected candidate pair," said Doddy.
