JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta will again use the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, as their home when they host Persik Kediri in the 29th match of BRI Liga 1. This decision was taken after obtaining official information from PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the operator of Liga 1, as stated in the circular #28A.

The President of the Persija club, Mohamad Prapanca, stated that the decision had to be taken because several stadiums in Jakarta and its surroundings, including the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK), could not be used. Even though Persija has applied for permission to use the GBK, because it is close to the national team's match schedule, it takes time for maintenance so Persija cannot use the stadium.

Persija management has also considered the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) as an alternative cage, but decided to continue using the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium because of inadequate field readiness at JIS.

Previously, Persija had twice used Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium as their home, namely against Madura United on February 22 and Dewa United on March 3.

Currently, Persija Jakarta needs three full points to avoid the relegation zone. They are currently ranked 11th with 35 points from 28 matches, only seven points adrift of Persita Tangerang who are in the relegation zone. Therefore, victory at home becomes very important for Persija in the match against Persik Kediri.
