Persita Tangerang Admits Defeat To Borneo FC Adds Challenge

Persita Tangerang coach, Divaldo Alves, acknowledged that the competition in Liga 1 this season was tough for his team after they suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat to Borneo FC last Saturday. The defeat put Persita in 16th position in the standings, leaving only 11 games in the competition.

Divaldo Alves stated in a press conference after the match that Persita had to keep fighting even though conditions were difficult. He stressed the importance of effectiveness in each match, as taught by Jack Brown, who also appeared as a substitute in the match.

"Yes, if you see the team below Persita winning twice, it could go up. But indeed this year is a big war. It's hard. But we Persita have to keep fighting. Like Jack (Brown) said every day of training, every day fighting, it must be more effective to play. I believe, it is tough, but in the future it must be more effective, "said Divaldo at a press conference after the match at the Indomilk Arena Stadium, Tangerang Regency.

"I believe it is tough, but in the future it must be more effective," said Divaldo Alves.

"Indeed, we did not expect a match like this because of the positive trend. We want to give three points to supporters, for the residents of Tangerang. But indeed we know Borneo FC is in the position above. They only need one chance to be a goal," said the Angolan coach.

Meanwhile, Jack Brown apologized for failing to get points in the match. However, he stressed that Persita must continue to struggle and remain positive even though the competition is very fierce.

"I'm sorry for the results today, we can't get the three points, but Borneo is the strongest team in the league. We have to keep fighting because there are no more options. We must work hard, every day of training, there are still a few more matches and we don't have to look down, have to stay positive, and definitely the match in the future will be better," said the 22-year-old player.

"The match in the future will definitely be better," added Jack Brown.

In the next match, Persita will face Madura United on Wednesday. The defeat to Madura United will further complicate Persita's situation in their efforts to get out of the relegation zone.
