PSS Sleman Coach Tak Sangka Wins 4-1 Against Bhayangkara FC

PSS Sleman successfully pocketed three points while visiting Bhayangkara FC headquarters on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Risto Vidakovic as PSS coach did not expect to win with a landslide score of 4-1.

"I didn't expect the game to go like this. I think we will close the game with a thin score. Because I saw their previous game (Bhayangkara FC) was good against Persebaya," said Risto Vidakovic.

"At that time they (Bhayangkara FC) lost 0-1. So, we didn't expect to win by that big margin," he said.

In the 25th week of Liga 1 2023/2024 which was held at the PTIK Stadium, South Jakarta, PSS Sleman was able to show a slick game from the start of the match. It is evident from the opening goal in the sixth minute made by Ricky Cawor.

Not only did Cawor manage to open points for the Javanese Super Elang, Cawor also doubled his name on the scoreboard in the 74th minute with a penalty execution.

In addition to the Cawor brace, two other PSS goals were contributed by Hokky Caraka (21') and Invite Riak (62').

Meanwhile, Bhayangkara FC as the host could only score one goal against PSS Sleman. The one goal was scored by Matias Mier in the 14th minute.

Regarding this big victory, Risto said that it could not be separated from the hard work of the team. Even though he lacked confidence at the beginning, PSS Sleman was able to show a slick game until he finally picked up three points.

"Today's game was perfect in the game, especially when defending with the ball. At first it was a bit difficult because the players lacked confidence, but in the middle they got confidence. We deserved to play and win here," said the coach.
