Officially, Napoli Extends Matteo Politano's Contract

JAKARTA - Napoli's important step is to secure star players. This time, Napoli extended Matteo Politano's winging contract until 2027.

Napoli released some of the main players. However, Politano is still retained by Napoli. Previously, Napoli had secured striker Victor Osimhen by renewing his contract.

However, Osimhen may not last long in Napoli. In fact, President Aurelio De Badminton is ready to release this Nigerian striker.

Politano's contract actually expires in 2025. This means that his contract is 12 months away so the club must immediately renew its contract if they do not want to release the player aged 30.

Otherwise, Napoli will lose one of their best players because they can leave the club for free. In addition, the price of Politano will decrease.

Interestingly, the club still awarded contracts with a duration of more than one year for players whose age has reached 30. The contract from Napoli could not be separated from Politano's brilliant performance.

Politano brought Napoli to the 2023 Scudetto. This season he has played 20 times in the Italian Serie A. The Italian national team player has scored six goals and four assists.

In total, Politano scored seven goals in various competitions. This makes Politano the second club top scorer under Osimhen.

Politano himself joined Napoli in January 2020. Previously, he played at Inter Milan which was then loaned to Napoli for two years. Before the loan contract ended, he had been permanent by Napoli.
