JAKARTA - The women's doubles pair Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and the men's singles Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo have recovered from injury and are ready to appear at the Indonesia Masters 2024.

The two Indonesian representatives previously missed two tournaments earlier this year, namely the Malaysia Open and the 2024 India Open, due to injury. However, now they are fit and ready to return to action.

"Yes, preparations have been quite good. I feel like I'm starting to be tested again after injury. In Malaysia and India there are a few things we have to run. Maybe here I'm ready to start again," said Apri.

In the previous two tournaments, Apri was sidelined because he had to recover from his injury. Meanwhile, Chico could not appear at the Super 1000 and 750 level events due to problems at the waist.

Chico said that at this time he had completely recovered and was ready to return to play. He also hopes to repeat his achievements last year at the Indonesia Masters.

"Yes, making preparations is quite good. Yesterday there was a problem at the waist, now it is in a fit condition and ready to face the Indonesia Masters. Of course, I want the best, especially in front of my own supporters. Hopefully step by step can lead to the final," he said.

Last year Chico successfully reached the final round of the BWF Super 500 event. Unfortunately, in the final match of the 25-year badminton player failed to lift the title after losing against his compatriot, Jonatan Christie.

The Jonathan title is one of two titles obtained by Indonesia at the Indonesia Masters 2023. Another title was obtained by the men's doubles pair Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin.

Indonesia Masters 2024 will take place from 23-28 January 2024. This year, Indonesia itself targets to maintain this achievement or can exceed it.
