Jokowi Condolences, Weightlifting Athlete Lisa Rumbewas Passes Away

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) expressed his condolences for the death of the Indonesian weightlifting sport member, Lisa Rumbewas, who succeeded in making achievements in the world arena during his lifetime. "Indonesia lost one of the nation's best daughters. Sports personnel who are relentlessly committed and make history for this country," said President Jokowi through a post on Joko Widodo's Instagram account, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, January 14. He said Lisa had brought Indonesia's good name with a number of very proud achievements. The presentation in question, as medalists at three different Olympics. Lisa Raema Rumbewas reportedly died at the Jayapura Hospital, Papua, Sunday morning at 03.00 WIT. The athlete who was born on September 10, 1980, came from the family of athletes as well as pioneering weightlifting at Bumi Cenderawasih, namely Levi Rumbewas and Indonesian female lifter Ida Korwa.
