Gundogan Scores Goal In The Last Minute, Barcelona Wins

JAKARTA - Barcelona escaped defeat and even won 2-1 over Las Palmas at the de Gran Canaria Stadium, Friday, January 5 in the morning WIB. Midfielder Ilkay Gundogan scored the winner from the penalty spot in injury time.

Barca are frustrated against Las Palmas who put up a tight fight. Even Barca had conceded a goal first in an away game. But they were able to get up to catch up on goal.

In that match, Gundogan did not just save Barca from defeat. He brought Barca to three points as well as shift Atletico Madrid.

The victory made Los Cules move up one strip to third place with 41 points. Only, Barca are still seven points behind Real Madrid and Girona who are in the top and second place in the standings.

Meanwhile, Atletico, who has 38 points, dropped to fourth place. Las Palmas, who ultimately failed to win the 10th place, pocketed 25 points.

In that match, Barca coach Xavi Hernandez fielded the best squad. The new player Vitor Roque made his debut. Only, he was just fielded in the second half replacing Ferran Tores.

Appearing at the opponent's home, the Blaugrana were stuck in the early minutes of the match. Las Palmas was able to show his dominance.

Evidently, Las Palmas' attack immediately gave results after former Barca player Munir El Haddadi scored a goal in the 12th minute.

He broke into the net of his former club after welcoming Sandro Ramirez's short pass which is also Barca's youth coaching product.

Furthermore, Sandro has the opportunity to increase Las Palmas' advantage. However, goalkeeper Inaki Pena managed to ward off Sandro's kick.

Barca, who played poorly in the first half, failed to score and scored 1-0 for the hosts at halftime.

In the second half, Barca tried to get up. Their game started to improve. In the 55th minute, Barca finally equalized after Torres broke into the opponent's goal.

The goal started with striker Robert Lewandowski's shot which was blocked which made the ball rebound.

Furthermore, the ball was controlled by Sergi Roberto who offered it to Torres. Through a hard kick, he also beat goalkeeper Alvaro Valles. The score changed to 1-1.

Las Palmas actually had time to rise and hunt for the second goal to win. But their efforts were fruitless.

On the other hand, the host's goal conceded again with a Gundogan penalty in injury time.
