Daniel Martin's Badminton Father Dies

JAKARTA Sad news has come from the world of Indonesian badminton. The father of a men's doubles specialist badminton specialist, Daniel Marthin, has passed away.

The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) in a statement on social media Instagram confirmed the sad news on Friday, December 22, 2023, evening WIB.

"PBSI expresses its deepest condolences for the passing of Petrus Sugiman, Daniel Marthin's father today," wrote PBSI.

However, the cause of Daniel's father's death was not detailed by PBSI. In further information, the national badminton parent hopes that Daniel's father will have eternal life.

"Hopefully the deeds of worship of the deceased will be accepted by God Almighty and the strength and comfort for Daniel and the family left behind," the statement continued.

Daniel also confirmed the news that his father died via Instagram Story.

"Eternal life in heaven, yes, Pah," wrote the couple Leo Rolly Carnando.

Leo/Daniel are the champions of the Indonesia Masters and Thailand Masters this year. Both will try to maintain their achievements at the Indonesia Masters 2024 which will take place from January 23 to 28, 2024.
