Real Madrid's Perfect Record In The Champions League, Union Berlin Becomes The Last Victim

JAKARTA - Real Madrid fell behind and got up to beat Union Berlin 3-2 in the Group C match at the Olympia Stadium, Wednesday, December 13 in the morning WIB. Madrid also set a perfect record for winning all matches.

Union Berlin became Madrid's last victim. The defeat made Union fail to qualify for the Europa League for occupying the bottom of the standings after pocketing two points.

Two points adrift of Braga who also lost 2-0 to Napoli. Braga who got a ticket to the Europa League was ranked third.

Meanwhile, Madrid always win matches so that they close the preliminary round by getting 18 points. This repeats Los Blancos' achievements in the 2011/2012 and 2014/2015 seasons.

Interestingly in those two editions, Madrid always failed in the semifinals. In 2012, Madrid lost against Barcelona in the top four. Furthermore, Barca, which still has Lionel Messi, beat Juventus 3-1 in the final.

Union continued to fight even though they were left behind. Their efforts finally gave results when Alex Kral broke into Kepa's goal in the 85th minute.

The goal changed the score to 2-2 and opened the Union's hopes of qualifying for the Europa League.

But the hope of the German Bundesliga club is dashed. Because of this, Ceballos managed to score a goal for Madrid which changed the score to 3-2 in the 89th minute.

This last minute goal was also the last so Madrid closed the match with their sixth win in the preliminary.
