Previously Andre Onana, Anthony Martial Is Now A Problem With MU

JAKARTA - The problem never ends for Manchester United. After goalkeeper Andre Onana, then striker Anthony Martial who was called the legend of MU Paul Schholes as a lazy player when he gave up 1-0 in the match against Newcastle United at St James' Park Stadium, Sunday, December 3 in the morning WIB.

There are always problematic players who make MU lose points and even lose. Against Galatasaray in the Champions League, MU, who was already 3-1 ahead, finally drew 3-3.

Because of Onana's two blunders that thwarted The Red Devils' victory. The result made it difficult for Scott McTominay et al to the last 16 in European competitions.

However, manager Erik ten Hag still defends Onana. Even Ten Hag called Cameroon's national team goalkeeper the second best goalkeeper in the English Premier League.

This is what makes the manager still trust Onana when facing Newcastle in domestic competitions. This time, Onana's appearance was not disappointing.

But the front line is then a problem. Martial still can't show sharpness. Likewise Marcus Rashford who never ended infertility.

When Ten Hag entered Rasmus Hojlund and Antony to replace Martial and Rashford, MU's attacks became more lively.

It's just that Hojlund still failed to fulfill the expectations. He has never even scored a goal in the Premier League.

Schholes accused Martial and Rashford of being lazy. Likewise, captain Bruno Fernandes did not show maximum performance.

"It's all trash. They played bad football from the first minute," he said, giving sharp criticism.

"Too many players are lazy in this team. You won't be able to win with a team like that," said Schholes.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag returned to defend his players. According to him, mistakes cannot be blamed on Martial one, but the team as a whole.

"It's not about Anthony Martial. It's about the team. I've tried to increase the team's energy and try to see the team's reaction in a situation like this. You can see us entering a tough period. It's normal for you to be a little aggressive when facing this situation," said Ten Hag.

The defeat to the Magpies proved Manchester United had not yet come out of the crisis. Last season, they did win the Carabao Cup, reached the FA Cup final and were ranked fourth in the Premier League standings so they could compete in the Champions League.

But this season, the Red Devils have been eliminated in the Carabao Cup. Ironically, Newcastle got rid of MU.

Meanwhile in the Champions League, MU is threatened with failing to qualify for occupying the bottom of the standings after failing to win against Galatasaray.

MU also has not been able to show it as a strong team. Every time he meets the top team or members of the 'big six', MU always loses.
