JAKARTA - Arsenal confirmed their position at the top of the English Premier League standings after defeating Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium, Saturday, December 2 evening WIB. The victory made Arsenal leave Manchester City.

Man City is Arsenal's closest competitor to face Tottenham Hotspur, Sunday, December 3 evening WIB. If it fails, then Man City can slowly be abandoned by the Gunners.

Victory over Wolves makes Arsenal have 33. They are four points ahead of Man City who are in second place. If they win over Tottenham, Pep Guardiola's side will not be able to replace Arsenal.

However, they maintain competition and avoid threats from Liverpool and Aston Villa which are one point adrift of The Cityzens.

Meanwhile, Wolves are stuck in the middle of the standings. They occupy the 13th position with 15 points.

In that match, Arsenal, who had just beaten Lens 6-0 in the Champions League, showed dominance over Wolves. They immediately scored in the early minutes.
