Bayern Munich Struggles To Hold Back Arminia Bielefeld 3-3 At The Allianz Arena

JAKARTA - Bayern Munich had to struggle to hold back Arminia Bielefeld's guest draw with a score of 3-3, in the German League match played at the Allianz Arena, Tuesday morning Western Indonesia Time.

Arminia was surprisingly able to take a two-goal lead thanks to a goal from Michel Vlap in the seventh minute and a goal from Amos Pieper in the 37th minute. A goal scored by Robert Lewandoski in the 48th minute made Bayern fall short before Christian Gebauer scored in the 49th minute to restore the visitors' lead.

The unyielding Bayern was then able to reduce the deficit again thanks to Corentin Tolisso's goal in the 57th minute, and then balanced up through Alphonso Davies' goal in the 70th minute, Antara noted on the official German League website.

This draw did not change the position of the two teams in the standings. Bayern remains top of the standings, now with 49 points. Meanwhile, Arminia remains in 16th place, 18 points.

The visitors stunned Bayern by scoring their first goal, as Vlap took a pass, spun, and beat goalkeeper Manuel Neuer with his pinpoint shot.

Arminia then doubled their lead when Pieper's header from a corner shot through the Bayern net. Apart from being two goals behind, Bayern also had to experience problems with heavy snow falling.

Bayern, who won eight of their last nine league games, are looking to bounce back after halftime. Leroy Sane fired a shot against the crossbar, before Lewandowski, with his back to the net, turned quickly and volleyed in for his 25th goal of the season.

As former Bayern president Uli Hoeness celebrated a goal in the stands, Arminia restored their two-goal lead a few minutes later. Winger Gebauer snatched a bait as the Bayern defense became complacent on the counterattack.

Tolisso's heading cut the deficit again, and Thunder fired hard at the end of the game to secure a point for Bayern.

In the next round, Bayern will be entertained by a team undergoing a good trend Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, February 20, while Arminia will host Wolfsburg the day before.
