JAKARTA - Volleyball player Rivan Nurmulki has confirmed that he is absent from the Livoli Main Division 2023 volleyball competition which will take place from November 6 to December 11.

The 26-year-old athlete will not defend the Samator volleyball club in an event held in Tangerang, Magetan, and Kediri because he wants to focus on pursuing a career abroad.

"Not [playing] first, yes. I'm off. Let the young players who play in Livoli," Rivan said in a statement received in the official release of the All-Indonesian Volleyball Association (PBVSI), Wednesday, November 1.

"I want to focus on playing in foreign leagues. Local competitions should be given opportunities for young players to develop," added the athlete from Jambi.

Rivan's last appearance at Livoli was last year in Magetan. At that time, he played with Samator, the club that fostered him.

Rivan is noted to have defended the Surabaya club since 2013. Together with the club, he appeared for the Livoli and Proliga competitions.
