JAKARTA - Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou will challenge heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury. Ngannou also appointed Mike Tyson as his coach in preparation for the fight.
Tyson has spent time training Ngannou. He certainly gave a number of tips to his students.
Mike Tyson has even shown Francis Ngannou the key to defeating Tyson Fury in an old video that reappeared on social media. The video shows Tyson giving a number of techniques in boxing.
In the video taken a few years ago, Tyson is seen showing Ngannou how to move his legs. He then gave advice about Fury's boxing style.
"Fury hits remotely, so when he hits remotely, you have to throw a short shot at the side and hit him around and give a powerful blow to the body," Tyson said in the video.
Then Tyson was seen reminding Ngannou about the hard blow that gave the former UFC fighter the Overeem striker.
"Did you hit it with the right uppercut?" asked Tyson, and Ngannou confirmed and noted that it was the left uppercut.
"As long as you give the illusion and hit it (the body), you can go to [to the chin]. Boom! Not just one blow, always more than one blow, a combination," he continued.
Ngannou will have the opportunity on October 28 against Fury in Saudi Arabia. Both will fight in Riyadh in super crossovers.
Recently, Tyson supported Ngannou's possibility of creating a surprise. In his interview with ES News, he said "I think everything is possible."
