Indonesian League 1 Results: Rans Defeats PSIS, Exactly Holds Persikabo to a Draw

JAKARTA – Rans Nusantara managed to secure three points when playing the 15th week of the 2023/2024 Indonesian League 1 against PSIS Semarang, Friday, October 6 evening.

Rans narrowly won 2-1 over PSIS. The two winning goals were scored by Mitsuru Maruoka (8') and Evandro Brandão (64'), while Laskar Mahesa Jenar's reply was scored by Carlos Fortes from the penalty spot in added time in the second half.

This result made Rans move up to third place in the standings. They narrowed the gap with Madura United and Borneo FC to just one and two points respectively.

However, Borneo FC has the opportunity to widen the point gap against hosts Arema FC tonight at the I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Bali. Meanwhile, this defeat means PSIS has now dropped to fifth place in the standings with a collection of 24 points.

In another match, Persis Solo failed to maintain their lead against Persikabo 1973. Both teams finally closed the match with an equal score of 2-2.
