Temporary Standings For The 2023 Asian Games: Add 8 Medals On Wednesday, Indonesia Is Still In 12th Position

JAKARTA - The Indonesian contingent has succeeded in adding medal coffers at the 2023 Asian Games. As of Wednesday, October 4, at 22.00 WIB, there were eight additional medals donated by athletes from various sports (sports).

The eight medals won by the Indonesian contingent so far today include five silver medals and three bronze medals.

Takraw football is the opening for the medals of the Indonesian contingent. Down in the Men's Quadrant number, the Indonesian team reinforced by Dikyapriandi, Muhammad Hardiansyah Muliang, Saiful Rijal, Muhammad Hafidz, Rusli and Abdul Halim had to give up against Myanmar.

The score ended at 13-21 and 22-24, making Myanmar win a gold medal, while Indonesia was in second place with a silver medal.

The second silver medal today was contributed by the dragon boat sport. The women's team, which competed in the 200 meter number, took second place with a time of 54,930 seconds.

Still from the dragon boat sport, this time it was the turn of the men's team to present medals. The men's team, which competed in the 200 meters, managed to finish in third place with a time of 49,810 seconds which gave them the right to a bronze medal.

The fourth medal for the Indonesian contingent was again contributed through the soccer sport takraw, but this time from the women's team which competed in the women's quadrant number. Facing Vietnam, Indonesian representatives are entitled to a silver medal after leaving as second-ranked residents after struggling in a rubber game with a final score of 21-18, 18-21 and 14-21.

Furthermore, there are two bronze medals that add medals for the Indonesian contingent. The fifth and sixth medals came from soft tennis and archery.

For soft tennis, there is a men's team that must appear against China Taipei. Today's tough struggle has made them bring home a bronze medal after losing 0-2 in the final round.

Next there were Riau Ega and Diananda Choirunisa from the archery sport which fell in the mixed team recurve number. Facing representatives of Iran, both recorded a final score of 6-3 and were entitled to a bronze medal.

The last two medals of the Indonesian contingent on Wednesday were compact presented by sports climbing the male and female categories. Down in the women's speed relay number, Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi, Rajiah Sallsabillah, Alivany Ver Khadijah, and Nurul Iqamah were able to finish in second place with a time of 23,506 seconds.

From the men's team there is Veddriq Leonardo, Sendal Katibin, Rahmad Adi Mulyono and Aspar who also competed in the men's speed relay number. They also ended the match in second place to bring home the silver medal.

Until the 11th day of the 2023 Asian Games, the Indonesian contingent has collected a total of 30 medals. This number consists of six gold medals, eight silver medals, and 16 bronze medals which make the Red and White squad still ranked 12th in the standings.
