Indonesian Contingent Results At The 2023 Asian Games Today, Friday 22 September: Indoor Volleyball And Modern Pentathlon Falls

JAKARTA The Indonesian contingent continues its struggle at the Hangzhou 2023 Asian Games today, Friday, September 22. Here are the complete results obtained by Indonesian representatives.

Today as many as three sports have played. All representatives who took part also failed to get the best results in the four-year event.

Samuel Christian Matulatuwa felt his first failure from the modern pentathlon sport. He failed to reach the final after getting the 12th final.

Christian failed in men's individual (fencing bonus round), finishing in fifth position men's individual (swimming), and finishing in 12th order men's individual (laser run).

The Indonesian men's volleyball national team also failed to advance to the semifinals after losing against the host team China 1-3 (17-25, 17-25, 25-23, 22-25) in the last 12 at the Linping Sport Center Gymnasium, China.

In this match, Indonesia did not play well in the first two sets so they had to lose with the same score 17-25. Indonesia then started playing well in the third set and then managed to win.

After securing the third set, Indonesia was confident in undergoing the fourth set. Unfortunately, the effort failed to bear fruit so that the dream of the semifinals disappeared.

The defeat was also felt by Bernadatta S Herdanti/Nur Atika Sari who fought in Pool D of the beach volleyball women's team against China. In that match, the pair lost two straight games.
