China Open 2023 Results: Passing Three Games, Apriyani/Fadia Failed To Win Tickets To Semifinals

JAKARTA - Indonesian women's doubles Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia failed to win a ticket to the semifinals of the China Open 2023. After struggling in three games, Apri/Fadia lost to the representative of South Kore, Baek Ha-na/Lee So-hee

The two representatives met in the quarter-finals of the China Open 2023 which took place at the Changzhou Olympic Sport Center on Friday, September 8 afternoon WIB. Facing the second seed, Apriyani/Fadia fell in 75 minutes with the final score 15-21, 21-18 and 10-21.

At the beginning of the first game, the South Korean pair dominated the trust well, both of them had a 6-1 lead. Baek/Lee's dominance continued smoothly until they were also able to control the first interval with a score of 11-6.

A long distance so Baek/Lee can continue their efforts to win in the first game. It was proven after the interval because they continued to lead the 21-15 win from the Indonesian representatives.

In the second game, the game started to heat up because Apriyani/Fadia began to try to fight back. Although he was two points behind, this Indonesian representative tried to improve his match and was 11-8 ahead in the second interval.

The temporary result in fact could not make Apriyani/Fadia's movement easier, because after the second break they were chased by Baek/Lee at 11. This moment is a danger warning for Apriyani/Fadia who have to play more focused and can collect points to make it level in the second game with a score of 21-18.

This two-game draw position forced Apriyani/Fadi vs Baek/Lee to continue their game in the rubber game to determine the winner in the quarter-finals.

In the third game, Baek/Lee secured the advantage first with a score of 5-1. Several mistakes made by Apriyani/Fadia became an opportunity for the South Korean representative to steal victory in the third interval with a score of 11-7.

After the third break, tensions continued to be on the part of Indonesia because the opponent was able to make a widening distance. Apri/Fadia's efforts to move into the semifinals finally disappeared after the third game ended 21-10 for South Korea's victory.

After blocking Apriyani/Fadia's steps in the quarter-finals, Baek/Lee will then appear in the semifinals by facing the winner from the match between Rena Miyaura/Ayaka Sakuramoto vs Liu Sheng Shu/Tang Ning.
