Jay Idzes, Venezia Player Who Will Be Naturalized By The Indonesian National Team

JAKARTA Jay Idzes has officially entered the new naturalization candidate for the Indonesian national team. The naturalization process for the 23-year-old player began.

PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir has brought the player to Indonesia. Erick uploaded the second meeting on his personal Instagram account, Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

"Today I announce that Jay Idzes will be processed to strengthen the Red and White at the international event for Garuda Globally," Erick said in a written statement.

Idzes was plotted to strengthen the Indonesian national team in a number of senior events. Currently, the defender from the Netherlands is strengthening the Italian League club that plays in Serie B, Venezia

Last season, this player was the mainstay of the Go Ahead Eagles team which finished in 11th position in Eredivisie, the Dutch League.

Even though it was targeted by the Dutch national team, Idzes chose the opportunity to join Indonesia. He took the last option because it allowed him to play regularly at the state level.

"Idzes is still 23 years old. His career is heading to the top. So, this player is a player who has the potential to increase the strength of our national team," said Erick.

Idzes was a player born in Mierlo, Netherlands on June 2, 2000. He has Indonesian blood from his grandparents.

Since the age of seven, Dis has played football. The beginning of his football career began when he joined an amateur club, SC Brabant, in Mierlo.

He played 1.5 years in the team before he was nine years old with a talent scouting from PSV Eindhoven. He then trained at the PSV academy for five years.

After that, he joined the VVV-Venlo & Helmodsports Academy in 2014. There he lasted two years ago joining the Eerste Divisie club, FC Eindhoven, and playing in the junior academy team.

Idzes has also begun to be needed by FC Eindhoven's first team after two years of honing his skills in the junior team. In the main club, he made a total of 57 appearances.

He then moved to the Go Ahead Eagles until the start of the 2023 season. After that, the 23-year-old player moved to the Italian League to join Venezia with a contract duration of up to 2027.
