JAKARTA - Cristiano Ronaldo stands tall at the top of the list of the most prolific goalscorers on earth. At least according to MARCA records.

The Portuguese player scored two goals for Juventus against Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final on Wednesday night. He scored 762 and 763 goals in his professional career.

The first goal from the spot put Ronaldo level with Brazilian legend Pele and Austrian-Czech star Josef Bican. Based on data that FIFA admits, they scored 762.

However, there is a lot of controversy surrounding the Bican and Pele numbers. Specifically for Bican, Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) noted, he has scored 805 goals in 530 games. However, according to European media, only 759 were printed in professional football. This figure is still shrouded in controversy.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo's numbers are unquestionable. And he has kept Pele and Bican away with the second goal he scored against Samir Handanovic this morning.
