2023 World Championships: KW Women Beat Ukrainian Representatives

JAKARTA Indonesian women's singles, Putri Kusuma Wardani, managed to beat Ukrainian representative Polina Buhrova in the first round of the 2023 Badminton World Championships.

Putri ensured that she would advance to the second round of this prestigious competition after stopping her opponents in two straight games 21-7 and 23-21 at the Royal Arena, Copenhagen, Denmark, Monday, August 21, 2023.

In the first game, Putri immediately dominated by securing three points. He then became more impressive with six consecutive points after his opponent reduced the position 1-3.

Each of them then scored two more points before the interval. After losing one point after the break, Putri again spawned five points in a row to change the score 16-4.

He only lost two more points after that to secure the first game. However, in the second game, Putri got a much fierce resistance from the 19-year-old badminton player.

Buhrova even had a 4-1 lead at the start of the game before Putri caught up and equalized 6-6. The two took turns scoring after that, but the Indonesian representatives could lead one point at the interval.

Competition after the break was no less fierce, Buhrova even won 18-15 again before Putri got up and took the lead 21-20. The opponent had equalized the score before Putri scored two more points.
