Leaks About PSSI's New Directorate: Coming From Germany, Coming Next Week, And Contracted For 4 Months First

JAKARTA - The General Chairperson (Ketum) of PSSI, Erick Thohir, spoke about rumors of the new Technical Director (Dirtek) who was predicted to be from Germany. He admitted that PSSI had reached an agreement.

However, the agreement referred to by the chairman of PSSI turned out to have only reached a verbal agreement. The two parties have not yet reached the signing stage on paper.

"For Dirtek Alhamdulillah, an agreement has been made. But it hasn't signed yet. It's normal, negotiations," said Erick Thohir when met in Central Jakarta, Thursday, July 20.

Even though Erick Thohir has revealed the agreement, in fact the figure of the Director of Research and Technology from Germany is still a mystery. There are rumors circulating that Joachim Loew is the person who will join PSSI.

However, this rumor was denied by Erick Thohir. He then leaked that the new Director of Technology would come next week.

Later, the figure will accompany the national team with a work duration of four months.

"So if possible, it will be 1-2 days or early next week. That (Dirtek) will be the main task of accompanying the national team for four months," explained Erick.

The duration of four months, explained Erick, is an agreement between the two parties because adjustments are still needed first. Later, the Director of Research and Technology will create a culture of Indonesian football.

"Because we both try first because in the future the Technical Director will not only synchronize the program," explained the man who is also the Minister of SOEs.

"But the most important thing is to create what kind of Indonesian football culture is," he continued.

Regarding football culture, Erick Thohir reflects on top countries that already have their own game pattern culture. So that the chairman of PSSI wants Indonesia to have his own football culture even though the process takes a long time.

"Because indeed the top 20 football countries have their own game patterns. This is what we have to achieve, but it is not easy and takes quite a long time," he said.
