Chelsea Not Permanented, Joao Felix Will Be Loaned By Atetico Madrid To Newcastle United

JAKARTA - Atletico Madrid player, Joao Felix, has returned from his loan spell at Chelsea. However, Joao Felix is likely to be loaned again, but to a different club.

Atletico Madrid have now offered Felix to Newcastle United who will compete in the Champions League next season.

Felix has been on loan to Chelsea since the January transfer window. However, his performance at the London club was deemed unsatisfactory by scoring just four goals in 20 matches in all competitions.

Chelsea's new manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has decided not to include Felix in his plans for next season.

Meanwhile, Newcastle is reportedly ready to accommodate the 23-year-old. Moreover, Newcastle needs new ammunition to navigate a number of competitions next season including the Champions League after they finished fourth in the English Premier League.

However, Felix must be ready to accept the usual pay. Newcastle's manager Eddie Howe said his club would not offer players a fantastic salary that would make it difficult for them to bring in the best players.

"We are not big-paid players in the English Premier League, so big clubs will all dwarf us on that (negotiations). It makes it difficult to attract the best players in the market," Eddie Howe said, as reported by Antara, Thursday, June 1.

Chelsea itself gives a salary of six million pounds (around Rp. 111 billion) or 250 thousand pounds (Rp. 4.65 billion) per week until the end of this season to Felix.

Meanwhile, the highest salaries at Newcastle United are currently held by Kieran Trippier, Alexander Isak, and Bruno Guimaraes, who each pocket 6.5 million (around Rp120 billion) per season.
