JAKARTA - Manchester City secured a place for the 2022/23 Champions League final after beating Real Madrid 4-0 in the semifinal second leg match at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday morning WIB. The Citizens advanced to the top of the party with a 5-1 aggregate.

Bernardo Silva put Manchester City two goals ahead in the first half, City scored twice after a break thanks to Eder Militao's own goal and Julian Alvarez's shot.

This victory made Manchester City face Inter Milan in the Champions League final which will be held at Ataturk Olympic Stadium, Turkey on June 11, 2023, according to the official UEFA website.

This is Manchester City's second final in the Champions League since being beaten by Chelsea in the 2022/21 season. Meanwhile, Inter Milan will play their first final in the competition since winning it in 2013.

Playing in front of his own supporters, City immediately pressed the defense of the defending champions.

Manchester City got a golden opportunity in the 12th minute through Erling Haaland's header in front of goal after taking advantage of Jack Grealish's cross from the left. However, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was still alert in parrying the ball.
