Rumored to have withdrawn from the candidacy for the PSSI chairman, LaNyalla Mattalitti is even more confident that he can win: my votes are over 44

JAKARTA - One of the candidates for the general chairman (Ketum) of PSSI, LaNyalla Mattalitti, is reported to be withdrawing from the nomination market. This news spread two days before the election which will be held at the Extraordinary Congress (KLB), on February 16.

But this was emphatically denied. The man who is the chairman of the DPD is even optimistic that he will continue to fight for PSSI's number one seat.

"I received reports from all of my friends (news of the withdrawal). In the end, I decided, thank God, that I would still advance to the KLB on February 16, 2023", said LaNyalla when met at the Shangri La Hotel, Central Jakarta on Tuesday, February 14, afternoon WIB.

"We are ready and God willing, we will win", said LaNyalla confidently.

LaNyalla is one of the five candidates for the PSSI chairman who are advancing for the 2023/2027 period. He will compete strongly with Erick Thohir, Arif Putra Wicaksono, Fary Djemi Francis and Doni Setiabudi.

During the nomination period, LaNyalla was predicted to be a strong competitor for Erick Thohir. With this tough opponent, LaNyalla continues to show optimism because he is more confident with the support he has received.

"If I have said Insha Allah I will win, it means that I (voters) are over 44. I don't need to say the exact number, I am one difference which is important to win", said LaNyalla.

When asked about who his toughest opponent was in the nomination exchange for the chairman of PSSI, LaNyalla was reluctant to boast. He said all his rivals were tough opponents because they both had the opportunity.

“Everything is the same. Everyone has a chance to become general chairman and if I say everything is heavy, everything is heavy, if I say everything is light everything is light. I'm just picking up fate", he said.
