Liverpool's Passion Is Back

JAKARTA - Liverpool stepped into the fourth round of the FA Cup after winning over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Wednesday, January 18, WIB. In the third round replay, the Reds won with a narrow score of 1-0.

Harve Elliot's long-range shot broke the deadlock when the match which was played at the Molineux Stadium lasted just 13 minutes.

Elliot received Thiago Alcantara's pass to advance into the Wolves defense area. He then fired a shot from 27 meters, which failed to be blocked by the opposing goalkeeper, Jose Sa

Fabio Carvalho scored an additional goal for Liverpool, but the goal was disallowed.

Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp made eight player changes from the team beaten by Brighton and Hove Albion in their last appearance in the English Premier League match last Saturday.

"It feels like ages ago we had the feeling of winning and playing well," Klopp said after the match.

"We had to fight hard in the end, which we controlled for a long time. It was great and the reaction we wanted to see," he continued.

Klopp vowed not to stop fighting after the defeat to Brighton and urged his players to "get back to basics". He was also impressed with the way his team responded to last weekend's painful defeat.

"From the enthusiasm we showed, yes," he said. "It's my job to help the players and find a formation they feel good from the start."
