RI 7 Vs RI 42 Compete Towards PSSI 1

JAKARTA - The General Chairman of PSSI 2019-2023, Mochamad Iriawan, has confirmed that he will not run again in the election. Who will replace it as PSSI 1?

Currently, there are two names that have volunteered as candidates for the next PSSI Chairman.

First is La Nyalla Mattalitti. The man who is the chairman of the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) submitted the files on Friday, January 13.

La Nyalla is not new. He served as PSSI Chairman from 2015 to 2016.

"When I held PSSI we won the AFF. Our office is luxurious but the Menpora destroyed it. The coaching of referees and players is going well," said La Nyalla.

His potential opponent is the Minister of BUMN, Erick Thohir. He submitted his nomination papers on Sunday, January 15.

Erick said that he wanted to change the face of Indonesian football if elected. According to him, what must be done is to have the guts for clean football and also achievers

"So disassembling it is to improve the future of Indonesian football. We have to make sure, in the future, there won't be dirty hands in Indonesian football. We have to fix it," he said.

La Nyalla himself already knew that Erick Thohir would be his opponent for the PSSI 1 seat. He was not afraid even though he admitted that his opponent had competence in competition.

"I said go ahead, but it hasn't happened yet. So let's keep going. Erick Thohir is good and the other general chairman candidates are all good," said the man who had also served as PSSI Deputy Chairman.

PSSI itself is scheduled to close the submission of the nomination files for the PSSI Chairman 2023-2027 today, Monday, January 16.

If by the allotted time limit no one has volunteered again, the battle arena will certainly belong to RI 7 and RI 42.
