Cleveland Cavaliers Introduces Donovan Mitchell to the Public, Big Celebration

JAKARTA - The Cleveland Cavaliers officially introduced Donovan Mitchell as their new player. The celebration was massive.

The player who plays as a guard moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers from the Utah Jazz. Cavaliers have to pay "expensive" to get this one player.

From the results of Mitchell's release, the Utah Jazz got Finnish basketball player Lauri Markkanen, guards Collin Sexton, and Ochai Agbaji.

Besides that. The Jazz also gets their share of the first-round NBA draft in 2025, 2027, and 2029 and swaps for 2026 and 2028.

"The acquisition of Donovan Mitchell provides us with an extraordinary opportunity to bring one of the NBA's most dynamic young All-Stars to Cleveland," Cavaliers President Koby Altman said in a statement.

Last season, Mitchell averaged 25.9 points and 4.2 rebounds and a career-high 5.3 assists with 1.5 steals. Average scoring 3.6 3-pointers for the NBA's fourth-ranked team.

"Already a natural and proven talent at the age of 25, Donovan brings a competitive mentality that organically fits into the core group of this team," said Altman.

"We are delighted to see the impact someone of Donovan's caliber will bring to the Cavaliers with his ability to not only score points, but also play for his team-mates."

Mitchell will join the Cavaliers lineup alongside Darius Garland and 2022 All-Star center Jarrett Allen and 2022 All-Rookie forward Evan Mobley.

Cleveland hasn't made it to the playoffs since LeBron James left for the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018 after leading the Cavs to four consecutive NBA Finals, including one title in 2016.

Meanwhile the Jazz won the season and advanced to the play-offs during Mitchell's five years playing in Utah, but they never reached the Western Conference finals and only twice reached the second round of the play-offs.
