JAKARTA - The world's sexiest running athlete, Alica Schmidt, has made sure to qualify for the semifinals of the 2022 European Athletics Championships in the women's 400 meters which was held in Munich, Germany, Tuesday, August 16 yesterday.

The success of qualifying for the semifinals was immediately uploaded by Schmidt on his Instagram account. She admits that this is one of the most special moments in her career.

"Making it to the European semifinals, that's the goal. Now I can enjoy training once again in front of the home crowd. Today was truly one of the most special moments ever," wrote Schmidt.

In the post, she also included a video when competing for the semifinal ticket. Starting with a kiss, the video ends with a sweet smile from the host athlete.

No wonder the 23-year-old athlete is so happy to qualify for the semifinals. Previously, she seemed emotional because she had the opportunity to play in the European Athletics Championships.

In an interview with German outlet Sport1, Schmidt said he couldn't wait to experience the atmosphere in the stadium.

After it was confirmed that she had the opportunity to appear at the European Championships in Germany, Schmidt also shared her happiness and hope on Instagram.

"Selected for the individual 400m in the European championship," opened Schmidt "Guys, you have no idea what that means to me! That is my main goal this year and I know it will be everything but it will not be easy to achieve it."

After ensuring qualification for the European Championship, Schmidt set another target. Schmidt has been eyeing a place at the Paris Olympics in 2024.
