JAKARTA - The rich YouTube content activist from Dubai, Rashed Belhasa, will finally make his debut in professional boxing. He will go down as an undercard in the rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk.
The rematch between Joshua and Usyk for the IBF, WBA, and WBO heavyweight titles, will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on August 20. On the same day, Belhasa will step into the ring against Kyle Paevie.
"Finally announcing my professional debut on August 20 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Very proud to appear on Joshua's undercard against Usyk", Belhasa wrote in a post on his personal Instagram, quoted by the Daily Star.
Belhasa is one of the YouTubers with a fairly large income. The 20-year-old has a reported net worth of £2.9 million.
In the midst of a skyrocketing YouTube career, he was included in a plan to fight legendary boxer, Floyd Mayweather, this year. However, the YouTuber's professional debut known as 'Money Kick' was canceled.
"Hope to make my country proud on August 20th and fly the flag high for all Emiratis and Arabs around the world", Belhasa continued.
Thus, the undercard in Joshua and Usyk's duel will be the biggest fight for Belhasa at the professional level. Previously, he won two warm-up duels that could be said to be unofficial.
Belhasa beat fellow Emirati YouTube star Anas Elshayib by unanimous decision before winning over Ajmal Khan three months later. However, he had to be wary of Paevie who was looking for the first win.
The British boxer has lost all three of his duels since making his professional debut in November 2021. He has suffered two knockout losses and a one-point loss.
