Most Senegalese Ask Sadio Mane To Leave Liverpool: I'll Do What They Want

JAKARTA - Striker Sadio Mane has opened up the opportunity to leave Premier League club Liverpool this summer after saying he will follow what the Senegalese people want him to do.

Quoted by Antara from Sky Sports, Saturday, at a press conference ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Senegal and Benin, Mane opened up about his future at Liverpool.

"Like everyone else, I was on social media and I saw the comments. Isn't that between 60 and 70 percent of Senegalese people wanting me to leave Liverpool?" said Mane.

"I will do what they want. We will see later! Don't rush because we will see this together," he continued.

Last week, Sadio Mane said he would decide his future at Liverpool after the match against Real Madrid in the Champions League final in which his team lost 1-0.

Currently, Mane is often linked with German League giants Bayern Munich and it is reported that Die Roten has made an offer with a three-year contract duration for the 28-year-old player.

It is reported that Bayern Munich will offer Liverpool £30 million (approximately IDR 540 billion) along with bonuses ranging from 5 to 10 million pounds (around IDR 90-180 billion).

Even so, Liverpool is believed to want Bayern Munich to pay more than £30m, excluding bonuses, to consider making a deal.

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has made Mane a top priority on his transfer list and will meet with the former Southampton man's representatives this month to formalize the interest.

Sadio Mane was recorded to have come to Liverpool in July 2016 for a transfer fee of 35 million pounds or around IDR 630 billion and has made 269 appearances and contributed 120 goals for the Reds.

During his time at Liverpool, the player who started his career in Europe with French League club FC Metz has presented an English Premier League title, Champions League, English League Cup, and European Super Cup.
